Hebrew and Greek Terms / Definitions
- God #G2316 “theos” Father God as the 1st Person of the Trinity, almighty or true God
- Christ #G5547 “christos” anointed, Christ the Messiah, Son of God
- He has put G#5293 “hypotasso” to subordinate, to subject, be under obedience, submit self unto
- Son – #G5207 “huios” a son; Jesus used the word/term to describe Himself as the Son of God
- Propitiation – a sacrifice to appease a god. The pagan’s throughout both the OT and NT made sacrifices to gods. Jesus Christ is the sacrifice sent by Father God to turn away His righteous wrath against a sinful mankind. Jesus Christ’s sacrifice and blood on the cross is the only perfect sacrifice to satisfy Father God’s just demands and restoring humanity’s relationship with Him. Jesus Christ’s sacrifice is a free gift to us, BUT we must accept and open the gift.
The green is the author’s notations in the verses below. Bold text added for emphasis
Is there a hierarchy to the Holy Trinity – Father, Son and Holy Spirit
Father, Son and Holy Spirit – total unity, always existed, separate with separate functions
1 John 4:9-10 ESV – “9 In this the love of God (theos) was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world, so that we might live through him. 10 In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.” (Father God)
1 Cor 11:3 ESV – “But I want you to understand that the head of every man is Christ, the head of a wife is her husband, and the head of Christ is God (theos).”
John 14:28 ESV – “You heard me say to you, ‘I am going away, and I will come to you.’ If you loved me, you would have rejoiced, because I am going to the Father, for the Father is greater than I.” (see als0 John 10:29)
John 15:26 ESV – “But when the Helper comes, whom I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth, who proceeds from the Father, he will bear witness about me.”
- Three separate persons of Holy Trinity – Remember Jesus baptism, all were present
- Same essence, glory and nature; but different roles, activities and functions
- Same divine nature and ALWAYS in AGREEMENT
- Scripture notes a hierarchy – The Father sent the Son; The Son of God Jesus Christ declares the Father is
- Holy Spirit sent by Jesus, “proceeds by the Father” to testify to Christ
All are born with gifts from Father God
Gifts from Father God
Jer 1:5 ESV – “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you; I appointed you a prophet to the nations.”
Eph 2:8-10 ESV – “8 For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God (theos), 9 not a result of works, so that no one may boast. 10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God (theos) prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.”
Rom 12:1-8 ESV – “1 I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God (theos), to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God (theos), which is your spiritual worship. 2 Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect. 3 For by the grace given to me I say to everyone among you not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think with sober judgment, each according to the measure of faith that God has assigned. 4 For as in one body we have many members, and the members do not all have the same function, 5 so we, though many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another. 6 Having gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, in proportion to our faith; 7 if service, in our serving; the one who teaches, in his teaching; 8 the one who exhorts, in his exhortation; the one who contributes, in generosity; the one who leads, with zeal; the one who does acts of mercy, with cheerfulness.”
- God’s best gift to us is Jesus Christ, His Son
- Consider your life and think about your bents, proclivities, inclinations and aptitudes
- God has given us all types of gifts, we are born with them – Think about what have been drawn to since birth – mechanics, waterman (person who likes water/ocean activities), art, author / writer, pilot, military, engineer, service oriented, hiker, encourager, manage assets / steward, movie maker, singer, business, medical doctor, law enforcement, justice, lawyer, etc
- Jer 1 and Psalm 139
- Example- Teaching my grandson about water and waves – Don’t fight the water, work with it, understand it, respect the force and power of the water and waves
- Gifts and functions complement each other, work together, in unity
- Salvation is a gift provided to us His “workmanship” before we were born – have you accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior
- Workmanship – Greek “Poiema” – product of creation, work of art, fabric
- Value is based on Whose you are, NOT in the performance of your gift
- Like Matt 25:14-30 Our Master has given us time, finances, authority and ABILITIES to steward, exercise, invest in to produce and bear “Godly fruit” to reach others and advance His kingdom on earth as it is in heaven – the “talent” was not a coin, it was/is WEIGHT
- God has given us all a measure of weight for us achieve His purposes He gave us before we were born
Seven gifts show us the Father’s heart for us
What our Father in Heaven designed us to do, to develop and walk in
Gift and “principle” | Description |
1. Prophecy
“Design” |

Eleeō = Create space for rest; create “right environment” for rest compassionate, help the afflicted – David, Joshua, John
(-) Earn God’s and peoples favor thru your sacrifice; think we ned to “payback” God |
Last thoughts and considerations
- Gifts from Father God show Father God’s heart for us
- Your salvation in Jesus Christ is not just to go to heaven, it is for us to further God’s kingdom on earth as it is in heaven – now in the present
- We usually have more than one gift, and one will usually be stronger than the other gifts
- We are created in God’s image and likeness – of course He is going to put gifts in us before we are born – these gifts show us our Heavenly Father’s heart for us
- God has given us all a measure of “talents” (measure of weight) – time, money, authority and abilities – for us to achieve His purposes He gave us before we were born
- If you are reading this, and have buried His gifts, go “dig” them up, and begin to develop, exercise and walk in the gifts He gave you to further His kingdom on earth now
- For us to serve in unity with others to advance God’s kingdom
- These gifts can be “hijacked” by the enemy their use; when we use the gift to serve our purposes, our desires, our will; choose who you will serve today
- Fathers are to train up their children in the gifts God has given them
Decree –
My destiny was determined by God before the earth was created. While in my mother’s womb, before You gave me breath, You released my destiny Father. Your Word in Jer 1:5 tells us, “Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you, before you were born I set you apart” and in Psa 139: 16 “Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in Your book before one of them came to be.”
By whatever means, in whatever ways Satan has bound my destiny and prevented me from fulfilling all of God’s purpose for my life, I declare:
The strongman, and every demonic system holding back my destiny must release it NOW!. The parts of me that stand in the way of my destiny will align themselves with God’s perfect plan for my life and destiny. I submit my body, soul and spirit to the authority of Jesus Christ who holds all things together, including my destiny. All powers and authorities in heaven, on earth or in hell are under Jesus Christs’ authority and must stand down from keeping me from my heavenly assignment and destiny. My destiny is released to me now in the Name of Jesus Christ. Jesus gives it to me now a gift of grace.
Satan I command you in the Name of Jesus Christ to loose my calling and destiny to serve God with all my heart, mind, soul and strength. Release my anointing to walk in wisdom and revelation of my gifts. Unleash my purpose, my assignment and you Satan are bound from interfering with future heavenly assignments. Free my destiny from selfishness, pride, confusion, fear, worry, and lack of faith.
I will achieve my destiny! I have and will overcome by the blood of Jesus Christ. I will walk in good health, prosperity, goodness, kindness, blessing, honor, authority, power and favor my Father God has promised. I will take every thought captive making it obedient to Christ.
I make this declaration not by my strength and authority, but by the authority and power of Jesus Christ. Jesus has given me power over all the enemy and nothing shall harm me. Every natural and supernatural knee bows and confesses Jesus Christ is Lord. I enforce the victory Jesus won over Satan and all demonic spirits at the Cross of Calvary, over my destiny and life. I declare all of this in the Name of Jesus Christ. Amen
Other verses for self-study
Jer 1:1-5 ESV – “1 The words of Jeremiah, the son of Hilkiah, one of the priests who were in Anathoth in the land of Benjamin, 2 to whom the word of the LORD came in the days of Josiah the son of Amon, king of Judah, in the thirteenth year of his reign. 3 It came also in the days of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah, king of Judah, and until the end of the eleventh year of Zedekiah, the son of Josiah, king of Judah, until the captivity of Jerusalem in the fifth month. 4 Now the word of the LORD came to me, saying, 5 “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you; I appointed you a prophet to the nations.””
- Jeremiah’s gift was given before he was born
1 Cor 3:5-11 ESV – “5 What then is Apollos? What is Paul? Servants through whom you believed, as the Lord assigned to each. 6 I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the growth. 7 So neither he who plants nor he who waters is anything, but only God who gives the growth. 8 He who plants and he who waters are one, and each will receive his wages according to his labor. 9 For we are God’s fellow workers. You are God’s field, God’s building. 10 According to the grace of God given to me, like a skilled master builder I laid a foundation, and someone else is building upon it. Let each one take care how he builds upon it. 11 For no one can lay a foundation other than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ.”
Matt 6:30-33 ESV – “30 But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is alive and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? 31 Therefore do not be anxious, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32 For the Gentiles seek after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them all. 33 But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.”
- Align ourselves with the God’s purpose for us; our gifts are to be learned, exercised and used to further the assignment(s) God gave us when we were born. To further His kingdom on earth, not our own.
Prov 22:6 ESV – “Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.
- Fathers we are to train up our children in the gifts God has given them.
Trinity Hierarchy – All are in unity and agreement – have always existed – All equally important
Father God

Jesus Christ, Son of God

1 Cor 15:27-28 NIV – “27 For he “has put (hypotasso) everything under his feet.” Now when it says that “everything” has been put under him, it is clear that this does not include God himself, who put everything under Christ. 28 When he has done this, then the Son himself will be made subject to him who put everything under him, so that God may be all in all.”
