Goal – Learn what the enemy doesn’t want you to know
This lesson focuses on sin and “legal right” in the context of deliverance and inner healing. AFM use wields three swords regarding deliverance – deliverance counseling, inner healing and deliverance
- Is all sin the same – (are some sins worse than other sins)?
- What’s a boundary? When I break a boundary, I’m in Unlawful Territory
- What’s your reference to define sexual immorality?
Essential Truth – The battle is against Satan and God’s children

Sin
All / any sin separates us from God. No matter the degree of sin. This is NOT about fair, it’s about just. We aren’t the ones who decide what is just, and for good reason. God is a just God.
Paul makes it plain for us in Romans all of us have sinned,
“9 What then? Are we Jews any better off? No, not at all. For we have already charged that all, both Jews and Greeks, are under sin, 10 as it is written: “None is righteous, no, not one; 11 no one understands; no one seeks for God. 12 All have turned aside; together they have become worthless; no one does good, not even one…, 23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God…,” (Rom 3:9-12 ESV)
However, God’s Word – Jesus Christ tells us some sin is worse than others!
We see this in both the Old and New Testament. Our LORD Himself declares it when talking to Abraham,
“20 Then the LORD said, “Because the outcry against Sodom and Gomorrah is great and their sin is very grave…,”(Gen 18:20 ESV)
We see Jesus addresses the Pharisee who were tithing meticulously but neglecting the weightier things of God’s Law – mercy and faithfulness – while pointing out everyone else’s sin.
“23 Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you tithe mint and dill and cumin, and have neglected the weightier matters of the law: justice and mercy and faithfulness. These you ought to have done, without neglecting the others. 24 You blind guides, straining out a gnat and swallowing a camel!” (Matt 23:23-24 ESV)
And, when addressing Pilot Jesus is clear that those who turned Him over to Pilot have a much greater sin,
“Jesus answered him, “You would have no authority over me at all unless it had been given you from above. Therefore he who delivered me over to you has the greater sin.”” (John 19:11 ESV)
Jesus Christ raises the bar regarding sin – Sins of our heart
- Have you ever hated someone – you’re a murderer
- Have you ever lusted after someone while married, or lusted after a married person?
- Have you slandered or gossiped about someone?
- Have you exalted yourself, someone or something else above God?
- Have you ever been partial to someone because of their influence, position, power, financial status, race, political affiliation, how they dressed, their accessories?
I didn’t know partiality is a sin…,
“9 But if you show partiality, you are committing sin and are convicted by the law as transgressors. 10 For whoever keeps the whole law but fails in one point has become guilty of all of it.” (James 2:9-10 ESV)
So, we have practiced sin and shown ungodly partiality
Boundaries – Don’t get chalk on your toes!
God gave us boundaries because He loved us and for our good. For the good of our body, soul and spirit… , so we would long for Him and find Him.
Boundaries for us, nations and even angels
“He sets the boundaries of people and nations, determining their appointed times in history. He has done this so that every person would long for God, feel their way to him, and find him—for he is the God who is easy to discover!” (Acts 17:26-27 TPT)
Angels rebelled and left their position and dwelling while on earth. See Genesis 6
“And the angels who did not stay within their own position of authority, but left their proper dwelling, he has kept in eternal chains under gloomy darkness until the judgment of the great day” (Jude 1:6 ESV)
Legal Right
“Legal right” is a modern ministry term. Legal right is the permission God grants demons.
We see God’s legal system across both the Old and New Testament.
In Session One we discussed God allowing demonic spirits access to Job, King Saul, Peter and Paul. All permission is specific – Satan and his forces abide by God’s spiritual laws.
For the sake of our discussion, I will use the term “3 Classes of Legal Right”
- God’s divine purposes
- Unrepentant sin (to correct us) BARRIER / Binds us – God wants us to TURN to HIM
- Carry out a curse (more in our session on curses)
We will NOT focus on the larger spiritual battle regarding demonic principalities, authorities, etc.
God is always the One who grants access to us – there is NO “free for all”
God grants access to Abimelech
“And God sent an evil spirit between Abimelech and the leaders of Shechem, and the leaders of Shechem dealt treacherously with Abimelech” (Jdg 9:23 ESV)
Christians in the Smyrna Church
“Do not fear what you are about to suffer. Behold, the devil is about to throw some of you into prison, that you may be tested, and for ten days you will have tribulation. Be faithful unto death, and I will give you the crown of life.” (Rev 2:10 ESV)
Jesus Christ went to the cross – Pilot, Judas, Pharisees
“Jesus answered him, “You would have no authority over me at all unless it had been given you from above. Therefore he who delivered me over to you has the greater sin.”” (John 19:11 ESV)
God grants demons permission to act or indwell affecting / effecting numerous areas: a person’s mind or body, physical and mental health, marriage, ministry, business, finances, “territory” – natural or spiritual
God grants permission to turn us back to Him
“28 Let a person examine himself, then, and so eat of the bread and drink of the cup. 29 For anyone who eats and drinks without discerning (“diakrino” discern; making a distinction) the body eats and drinks judgment (“krima” a penal judgement; a sentence; to correct one) on himself. 30 That is why many of you are weak and ill, and some have died. 31 But if we judged (“diakrino” discerned; learned to discriminate) ourselves truly, we would not be judged (“krino” judged; condemned with a penalty). 32 But when we are judged (krino) by the Lord, we are disciplined (“paoiduou” chastened w/ an evil affliction) so that we may not be condemned along with the world.” (1 Cor 11:18, 28-32 ESV)
Also, read Heb 12:7-11 – God disciplines His legitimate children – Christians are His legitimate children
Quick Note on Temptation vs Test
God does not tempt us; but does allow temptation from Satan. God turns a temptation into a test. God never allows a temptation we cannot escape or overcome. 1 Cor 10:13; James 1:12-15
The enemy is always looking for a more opportune time to trap us, just like Satan did with Jesus Christ – see Luke 4:13
Three Pathways of Sin (regarding legal right)
The pathway of sin shows the relationship of the person getting the demon and the sin which gave the legal right
- Personal sin
- Sin against those under authority – One has spiritual authority to act, ie – on minor by parents (close relative), teachers, religious leaders, counselors, coaches, baby-sitter; and to adults by an authority figure ie – husband over wife, pastor church members, doctor / patient, elected official over constituents – passes laws against God’s Law,
“5 Whoever receives one such child in my name receives me, 6 but whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in me to sin, it would be better for him to have a great millstone fastened around his neck and to be drowned in the depth of the sea.” (Matt 18:5-6 ESV)
- Ungodly soul tie / relationship bond (this topic will be covered next week. And, a curse is not a sin either. I will cover blessings and curses in an upcoming study associated with these shortened lessons from AFM Freedom Track)
3 Big Sins for legal right – Physical murder / abortion, sexual immorality and witchcraft – all these sins are conducted in the worship of false gods – In the Old Testament, New Testament and sadly even today. I am not saying these are the only sins providing legal right, any sin can provide legal right
Sexual Immorality
Porneia (#G4202) Unlawful sexual intercourse – signifies any form of sexual immorality. Sexual immorality is sexual perversion and all porneia is ungodly.
Porneia refers to any kind of sexual perversion such as prostitution, incest, molestation, fornication, pornography, adultery, rape, homosexuality, bestiality
“12 All things are lawful for me,” but not all things are helpful. “All things are lawful for me,” but I will not be dominated by anything. 13 “Food is meant for the stomach and the stomach for food”–and God will destroy both one and the other. The body is not meant for sexual immorality, but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body. … 18 Flee from sexual immorality. Every other sin a person commits is outside the body, but the sexually immoral person sins against his own body.” (1 Cor 6:12-13, 18)
“For out of the heart come evil thoughts, murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false witness, slander.” (Matt 15:19 ESV)
“19 Now the works of the flesh are evident: sexual immorality, impurity (impure lustful living), sensuality (unbridled lust, shamelessness), 20 idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, rivalries, dissensions, divisions, 21 envy, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these. I warn you, as I warned you before, that those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.” (Gal 5:19-21 ESV)
Molestation is sexual abuse. Molestation – to make unwanted or improper sexual advances towards someone especially to force physical and usually sexual contact on someone. Molestation by a family member is incest. “Playing Doctor”
- watching / viewing nudity or sexual activity, inappropriate touch or kiss, perform sexual act, watch or affirm homosexuality, cross-dressing, transgender
“Young women of Jerusalem, I charge you by the gazelles and the wild does of the field, do not stir up or awaken love until the appropriate time.” (Song 2:7 CSB)
Last thoughts and considerations
- Next week we will cover tripartite man and godly and ungodly relationships aka “soul ties”
- The following week will be inner healing
Repentance Prayer for Sexual Immorality
The prayers are NOT a formula, or ritual. We believe on God’s word and come to Him in faith and repentance.
Lord Jesus Christ, I confess I am a sinner and need your forgiveness. Thank you for dying on the cross for me. I put my trust in You alone for my salvation. Your precious blood covers my sin. I claim the freedom You promised from sin and torment.
Lord Jesus Christ, I confess my sexual sin and transgressing Your spiritual laws. I repent for all perversion, lust, lewdness, nudity, pornography, fornication, masturbation, fornication, molestation, rape, incest, prostitution, bestiality, fantasy, and adultery of the hand and heart. I break these curses in the name of Jesus Christ.
Forgive me of my sexual idolatry and ungodly control. I come out of agreement and renounce my relationships with these sins and demonic spirits, and the spirit of Jezebel and all ungodly control. I ask for repentance Lord Jesus.
Jesus, forgive me for those I hurt through my sexual immorality and cancel my debts by Your blood Jesus, grant me repentance.
Lord, I repent on behalf of those who hurt me. Those who sinned against me. I cancel their debt against me. I repent all the way back in my bloodline and cancel all curses, spells, sacrifices put against me by my ancestors – In the Name of Jesus Christ.
I repent of all my ungodly soul ties and relationships. I come out of agreement with these ungodly relationships. I cut every ungodly relationship bond with those who sinned against me and hurt me; and I cut the ungodly bonds with those I hurt – I declare them severed. I give back what is theirs and take back what is mine. I keep all godly relationship bonds, in the name of Jesus Christ.
Cleanse my mind of all this defilement. I pull down ungodly strongholds – I demolish and crush them by Your strength. You are my Fortress and Stronghold. Lord, protect my eyes, ears and mind – I plead Your blood over them Jesus Christ. You are my Deliverer and Healer
God, I ask you to remove any pain or sickness _______________ associated with this sin. I cast it out now in the name of Jesus Christ.

God grants access to King Ahab of Israel

“12 Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love him. 13 Let no one say when he is tempted, “I am being tempted by God,” for God cannot be tempted with evil, and he himself tempts no one. 14 But each person is tempted when he is lured and enticed by his own desire.” (James 1:12-14 ESV)
