Introduction
Below you’ll find the most asked questions associated with the ministry of deliverance and inner healing. Please reach out to us via our contact page for further details or information.
What is inner healing?
- Inner healing is healing the broken parts of our heart/soul. God created us a tripartite creature (body, soul and spirit) – see the below verses for just four references – We are His most special and awesome creation – He created us in His image and likeness to be His family, to connect with Him spirit to Holy Spirit and much more that goes with being created in His image and likeness. Because we live in a fallen and sinful world all of us have received pain to our soul in life. Both the Hebrew and Greek use heart, mind and soul interchangeably through a majority of the scriptures. It is common to say “I know it by heart” or “I memorized it by heart.” The reason terms like this were and are common, is because our heart, mind, memories, seat of our emotions, our will, personality and more is what makes up our soul. Inner healing counseling and prayer binds up the broken parts of our heart/soul and heals only as our Creator Jesus Christ can heal.
- 1 Thess 5:23 ESV – “Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely, and may your whole spirit and soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.”
- Heb 4:12 ESV – “For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.”
- Luke 1:46-47 ESV – “46 And Mary said, “My soul magnifies the Lord, 47 and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior…,”
- Matt 26:38-41 ESV – 38 Then he said to them, “My soul is very sorrowful, even to death; remain here, and watch with me.” 39 And going a little farther he fell on his face and prayed, saying, “My Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me; nevertheless, not as I will, but as you will.” 40 And he came to the disciples and found them sleeping. And he said to Peter, “So, could you not watch with me one hour? 41 Watch and pray that you may not enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.” (note Jesus Himself describe all three parts)
Can a Christian be demonized?
- Yes. There are absolutely no Bible verses stating otherwise. As a matter of fact, Jesus Himself commanded His disciples to preach the gospel, baptize and the believers will cast out demons – Mark 16:15-17 ESV – “15 And he said to them, “Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation. 16 Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. 17 And these signs will accompany those who believe: in my name they will cast out demons; they will speak in new tongues…,”
- There are some Christian denominations that will preach and teach that a Christian cannot be demonized. God’s word demonstrates otherwise both with Peter and Paul. For more information on this contact our ministry for further amplification.
- Our ministry and other Christian deliverance ministries can attest to demons being cast out of born-again Christian believers
I thought when I was born-again, all demons lost their access.
- When we are born-again our spirit is born again, not our soul or body – we are legally “Justified” by the blood of Jesus Christ – Justified in our legal standing with God.
- See this link for more details and scripture regarding being saved / born-again as it applies to our body, soul and spirit – https://advancefreedomministry.com/2025/07/01/created-in-gods-image-and-likeness-2/
If a Christian is demonized, are they going to hell?
- No. Many Christians are troubled by demons which will “hijack” a Christian’s God given destiny/purpose, quench a Christian’s desire to exercise spiritual Christian disciplines, quench the gifts of Holy Spirit, and more
What are some indications of demonization?
- Do you find it hard to draw close to God, or question His love for you
- Do you have a chronic condition, addictions, or negative life patterns that you can’t seem to overcome – even though you pray hard, read your Bible, attend church
- Addictive behaviors – alcohol, gambling, pornography, spending money, drugs,
- Family life patterns such as addictions, abuse as receiver or giver (physical, emotional, sexual, mental) poverty, greed, never-get-ahead, come-to-nothing, molestation, adultery, etc.?
- Do you feel trapped, cursed, or unable to move forward in life despite your efforts and opportunities?
- Ungodly intrusive and plaguing thoughts, thoughts of suicide, acts of non-suicidal self-injury (NSSI), isolation?
- Are there struggles within your marriage or other relationships cause strifing and disunity?
- Do you feel ill-equipped to help your children overcome struggles in their lives?
- Is it difficult for you to maintain God honoring relationships?
Where in humans do demons indwell?
- Demons will indwell in either our physical body or soul, not our spirit. God owns our spirit. But the “rest of the house and its rooms” requiring cleaning-out and guarding
Do you have false beliefs not supported by God’s word?
- For instance: believe in Holy angels but not fallen angels; believe the spiritual battlefield and realm does not really affect or effect humans; fallen angels can’t attack or indwell humans, especially Christians; non-believers can be demonized but not born-again believers; do you believe in blessings and not curses; witchcraft is not real, that’s just in the movies and books
- Do you find yourself “redacting” God’s word to fit your beliefs, or beliefs taught by others?
- Ignorance is a primary weapon of Satan and his kingdom
- 2 Cor 2:11 ESV – “…,so that we would not be outwitted by Satan; for we are not ignorant of his designs.”
- 2 Tim 2:24-26 ESV – “24 And the Lord’s servant must not be quarrelsome but kind to everyone, able to teach, patiently enduring evil, 25 correcting his opponents with gentleness. God may perhaps grant them repentance leading to a knowledge of the truth, 26 and they may come to their senses and escape from the snare of the devil, after being captured by him to do his will.”
Last thoughts for your consideration
Don’t take my word for what I am saying, or anyone else’s, nor culture or social media, etc., – look to God’s word and ask Holy Spirit to reveal to you, His truth.
