Goal – Introduction to one method of how God heals broken parts of our “heart”
Lesson is derived from AFM Deliverance “Freedom Track”

- What are ways we try to manage our pain, hurt and trauma?
- How do men usually manage their emotion pain / trauma?
Essential Truth – The battle is against Satan and God’s children

Inner Healing – the healing of the dissociated, or fragmented, parts of the soul / mind, which are the dissociated parts of the core (DPCs)
The green is the author’s notations in the verses below. Bold text added for emphasis
* Continuation of shortened versions of AFM Freedom Track Sessions
Isa 61:1 ESV – “The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me, because the LORD has anointed me to bring good news (salvation) to the poor (afflicted); he has sent me to bind up (bandage) the brokenhearted (shattered), to proclaim liberty (free running/ flowing) to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound (open blind eyes)..,”
Our Core
What is psychology?
Psychology is the scientific study of the mind and behavior, exploring how biological, social, and environmental factors influence thoughts, feelings, and actions; it examines both conscious and unconscious phenomena, including cognitive processes (memory, thinking), emotions, motivation, and personality. Remember from our previous sessions – “Psuche” our soul is where the term psychology is derived. “ology” means knowledge of / study of
Understanding Our Core
The real you, the part listening to me now, the part that loves Jesus, repents, it’s the part sensing endless streams of information. Our sense of self. It should be what is “up” – manifested now.
Conscious – is reality received from our five senses as well as spiritual input from both the Holy Spirit and demon spirits. When we’re sensitive to our spirit, we can receive what Holy Spirit is communicating to us. Our core “for most people” is what is manifesting most of the time.
Unconscious / Subconscious – is not being aware of perceptions in the natural or spiritual. Whatever thing is in the unconsciousness is down – but still operating below the plane of consciousness. It’s a recording device and always active.
Examples – heart rate and breathing, memory storage and recall, routine skills – driving, pilots flying, swimming, riding a bike, etc., emotions, experiences, behavioral patterns, protection – emotional impulses / reactions from pain, hurt and trauma – brought in by our senses
Unconscious – The deeper parts of our subconscious. Psychology prefers this term for everything under the plane of consciousness.
Discreate Conscious Manifestable Identities
1) Core, 2) DPC, 3) Demon, 4) Soul Deposit (SD), 5) Ancestral SD (ASD)
Discrete – individually separate; Conscious – own consciousness / perception; Manifestable – able to rise above plane of consciousness; Identity – own individual qualities, personalities, names, expressions.
Three DCMIs hold varying degrees of soul data – DPC, SD and ASD
- Demons are spiritual, not soulish.
* Soul State Diagram Review
Soul State – Understanding what is “up” in our plane of consciousness
Dissociated Parts of the Core (DPC) – Our human soul (heart / mind) fragments from pain, hurt and trauma to protect itself – it’s part of God’s design. Dissociated parts can think, speak, and act independently, to one degree or another.
Three Primary Functions – Try and do the role of the core or God
- Encapsulate pain, hurt and trauma
- Help the core in some way Holy Spirit should be doing. Examples – guiding, helping, teaching, organize, managing
- Doing the role of the person’s core – daily routines love, pray, worship, hold sinful thoughts captive
DPC have “roles” – love, protect, help, manage – they do a role our core or God should do
DPCs are on a spectrum depending on amount of data. Emotional —— Personality ——– DID
How PHT is used by our enemy
- When we don’t turn our pain over to Jesus Christ for many reasons – ignorance, pain, shame and pride…,
- Can you think of any others?
1 Pet 5:6-10 ESV – “6 Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt you, 7 casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you. 8 Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. 9 Resist him, firm in your faith, knowing that the same kinds of suffering are being experienced by your brotherhood throughout the world. 10 And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you.”
Prov 14:10 ESV – “The heart (leb – heart, soul, conscious, emotions) knows its own bitterness (#H4787 “mara- trouble; root word #H4786 “mora”- grief) and no stranger shares its joy.”
We are supposed to be of sound mind, single-minded, wih self-control
James 1:4-8 ESV – “4 And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing. 5 If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him. 6 But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind. 7 For that person must not suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; 8 he is a double-minded (doubting) man, unstable in all his ways.”
James 4:7-8 ESV – “7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. 8 Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded (divided interest).”
* Larsonian Tripartite Model – Review
Men of God dig deep within themselves
Sanctification, healing and deliverance requires going deep
Eze 8:7-13 ESV – “7 And he brought me to the entrance of the court, and when I looked, behold, there was a hole in the wall. 8 Then he said to me, “Son of man, dig in the wall.” So I dug in the wall, and behold, there was an entrance. 9 And he said to me, “Go in, and see the vile abominations that they are committing here.” 10 So I went in and saw. And there, engraved on the wall all around, was every form of creeping things and loathsome beasts, and all the idols of the house of Israel. 11 And before them stood seventy men of the elders of the house of Israel, with Jaazaniah the son of Shaphan standing among them. Each had his censer in his hand, and the smoke of the cloud of incense went up. 12 Then he said to me, “Son of man, have you seen what the elders of the house of Israel are doing in the dark, each in his room of pictures? For they say, ‘The LORD does not see us, the LORD has forsaken the land.'” 13 He said also to me, “You will see still greater abominations that they commit.”
Technical Inner Healing
Lead the Part to Christ (LPTC) – the part is led to Jesus via Holy Spirit and healed. This is the AFM paradigm
Secular Psychology and some ministries use: a) Integration – Integrate / meld part with the core; b) Cooperation – creating a good relationship between core and soul fragment
- Also, Internal Family Systems (IFS) model used in secular therapy, but takes out Jesus Christ
Why AFM does not use these paradigms or models – discuss
A few more points of discussion
- Some ministries use the term “alter” or alternate personality – AFM does not
- DPCs are NEVER cast out – they’re human
- SDs and ASDs – brief discussion, more for another time
There is no other human spirit in us. Once a human dies, their spirit and soul goes to God
Last thoughts and considerations
- Disproportionate emotional responses are God’s way of showing areas where inner healing and, or deliverance are likely needed
- All of us have broken parts of our heart in need of healing
- Understanding this complexity heightens our compassion for others, and ourself
- Men are more likely than women to ignore or “muscle” through pain, hurt and trauma
- Let God heal the broken parts of our hearts
- Next week “Blessings and Curses”
Additional Scriptures
Prov 6:20-22 ESV – “20 My son, keep your father’s commandment, and forsake not your mother’s teaching. 21 Bind (H#7194 bind, join) them (teachings/instruction) on your heart (H#3120 “Leb” – inner man, soul, mind, heart, seat of emotions) always; tie them (H#6029 “anad” – bind; turn aside from) around your neck. 22 When you walk, they will lead you; when you lie down, they will watch over you; and when you awake, they will talk with you”
Deut 4:9 ESV – “9 Only take care, and keep your soul (#H 5315 “nepes” inner-being of man, soul, activity of mind and will, seat of emotions) diligently , lest you forget the things that your eyes have seen, and lest they depart from your heart (H3824 “lebab” memory, mind, thinking, soul, inner-man) all the days of your life. Make them known to your children and your children’s children.”
Judges 10:14-16 ESV – “14 Go and cry out to the gods whom you have chosen; let them save you in the time of your distress (#H6869 – “sara” -distress, travail, vexation). 15 And the people of Israel said to the LORD, “We have sinned; do to us whatever seems good to you. Only please deliver us this day.” 16 So they put away the foreign gods from among them and served the LORD, and He became impatient over the misery (#H5999 – “amal” toil, weary effort- body or mind, worry) of Israel.”
Eze 8:1-18 ESV – “1 In the sixth year, in the sixth month, on the fifth day of the month, as I sat in my house, with the elders of Judah sitting before me, the hand of the Lord GOD fell upon me there. 2 Then I looked, and behold, a form that had the appearance of a man. Below what appeared to be his waist was fire, and above his waist was something like the appearance of brightness, like gleaming metal. 3 He put out the form of a hand and took me by a lock of my head, and the Spirit lifted me up between earth and heaven and brought me in visions of God to Jerusalem, to the entrance of the gateway of the inner court that faces north, where was the seat of the image of jealousy, which provokes to jealousy. 4 And behold, the glory of the God of Israel was there, like the vision that I saw in the valley. 5 Then he said to me, “Son of man, lift up your eyes now toward the north.” So I lifted up my eyes toward the north, and behold, north of the altar gate, in the entrance, was this image of jealousy. 6 And he said to me, “Son of man, do you see what they are doing, the great abominations that the house of Israel are committing here, to drive me far from my sanctuary? But you will see still greater abominations.” 7 And he brought me to the entrance of the court, and when I looked, behold, there was a hole in the wall. For they say, ‘The LORD does not see us, the LORD has forsaken the land.'” 13 He said also to me, “You will see still greater abominations that they commit.” 14 Then he brought me to the entrance of the north gate of the house of the LORD, and behold, there sat women weeping for Tammuz (Assyrian fertility god). 15 Then he said to me, “Have you seen this, O son of man? You will see still greater abominations than these.” 16 And he brought me into the inner court of the house of the LORD. And behold, at the entrance of the temple of the LORD, between the porch and the altar, were about twenty-five men, with their backs to the temple of the LORD, and their faces toward the east, worshiping the sun (Ra – Egyptian sun god) toward the east. 17 Then he said to me, “Have you seen this, O son of man? Is it too light a thing for the house of Judah to commit the abominations that they commit here, that they should fill the land with violence and provoke me still further to anger? Behold, they put the branch to their nose. 18 Therefore I will act in wrath. My eye will not spare, nor will I have pity. And though they cry in my ears with a loud voice, I will not hear them.”
- Where is the digging taking place?
- We must look past the entrance of “God’s Temple” and go deep
- Only pure Levitical priests allowed in the inner court / holy place – instead, the worship of false gods across all areas of the temple
- What are we worshipping.., have you shined light into your “dark room” is the areas in our heart / soul – God sees it all
- Don’t be afraid to excavate – to get rid of ungodliness from all areas – all rooms
- The enemy hides “in plain sight” or “deep underground”
- The demonic “strongman” likes going deep underground
- Sanctification and deliverance require continual digging – outer court (body) inner court (soul)
