Goal – Understand faith is a spiritual law; and our faith is given by God for heavenly transactions
- To use currency from one nation in another, what must one do?

Hebrew and Greek Terms / Definitions
- faith #G4102 “pistis” belief / conviction God exists, respect for our relationship w/ God, trust in God; #H529 “emun” trusting, faithfulness, fidelity,

Faith is a spiritual law
God has given us a measure of faith
Rom 3:26-27 ESV – “26 It was to show his righteousness at the present time, so that he might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus. 27 Then what becomes of our boasting? It is excluded. By what kind of law? By a law of works? No, but by the law of faith.”
Rom 12:3 ESV “3 For by the grace given to me I say to everyone among you not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think with sober judgment, each according to the measure of faith that God has assigned.”
Eph 2:8 ESV – “8 For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God,”
Jas 2:19-20 ESV – “19 You believe that God is one; you do well. Even the demons believe–and shudder! 20 Do you want to be shown, you foolish person, that faith apart from works is useless?”
- Spiritual laws are real – the enemy knows the laws and must operate by them
- The Law of Faith is a spiritual law – the enemy sows seeds of unbelief to hinder us
- How is eternal salvation received????
- Salvation is a gift and so is FAITH
- God is moved by our faith
Faith is the currency of heaven
Our faith makes transactions in the heavenly realm
Heb 11:1-3, 6 ESV – “1 Now faith is the assurance (substance) of things hoped for (to expect), the conviction (evidence) of things not seen. 2 For by it the people of old received their commendation. 3 By faith we understand that the universe was created by the word of God, so that what is seen was not made out of things that are visible. … 6 And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.”
- Faith is spiritual; it’s NOT logical – it moves and pulls things from the spirit into the natural
- Faith is a verb – it requires our action and trust
- Faith can be measured, and God will increase our faith – our faith pleases God
- We must use heavenly currency to make heavenly transactions
- Faith is how we accomplish His plans, assignments and walk in the Spirit
Unbelief hinders heavenly transactions
“help my unbelief”
Matt 13:55-58 ESV – “55 Is not this the carpenter’s son? Is not his mother called Mary? And are not his brothers James and Joseph and Simon and Judas? 56 And are not all his sisters with us? Where then did this man get all these things?” 57 And they took offense at him. But Jesus said to them, “A prophet is not without honor except in his hometown and in his own household.” 58 And he did not do many mighty works there, because of their unbelief.”
Mark 9:21-25 ESV – “21 And Jesus asked his father, “How long has this been happening to him?” And he said, “From childhood. 22 And it has often cast him into fire and into water, to destroy him. But if you can do anything, have compassion on us and help us.” 23 And Jesus said to him, “‘If you can‘! All things are possible for one who believes.” 24 Immediately the father of the child cried out and said, “I believe; help my unbelief!” 25 And when Jesus saw that a crowd came running together, he rebuked the unclean spirit, saying to it, “You mute and deaf spirit, I command you, come out of him and never enter him again.”
- What hindered Jesus Christ’s mighty works in Nazareth in Matt 13?
- Ask Jesus Christ to help your unbelief
- Jesus own ½ brothers were hindered by unbelief when Jesus was alive – but they got an increase in faith…, just ask like his brothers did – God is generous
- God is moved by our faith
Discussion topics for you this week at home regarding faith: 1) Did you know faith was a spiritual law? 2) Did you know Father God gave you a measure of faith? 3) Where is the enemy trying to hinder your faith 4) Consider journaling your prayers and see what God proves.
Last thoughts and considerations
- We are saved by faith (a spiritual transaction) and faith doesn’t stop at salvation
- Salvation is the beginning of advancing God’s kingdom against the enemy’s
- Believe and pray in faith – start making spiritual transactions and deposits
- We are commissioned in Mark 16 to do mighty works – faith required
- Jesus gives us the faith to accomplish His commission
- Faith comes by hearing and not doubting, BELIEVING – it’s our confidence in Jesus Christ, not our confidence in us
- Doubt is an ungodly stronghold – tear it down

Luke 22:31-32 ESV – “31 “Simon, Simon, behold, Satan demanded to have you, that he might sift you like wheat, 32 but I have prayed for you that your faith may not fail. And when you have turned again, strengthen your brothers.”
- Satan and the forces of darkness knows the spiritual laws
- Jesus Christ intercedes for us too – for our faith
- Peter got an increase in faith after he repented and look what Peter did for Jesus Christ
Rom 10:16-17 ESV – “16 But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Isaiah says, “Lord, who has believed what he has heard from us?” 17 So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word (rhema) of Christ.”
- Rhema – the spoken word
- Speak God’s word out loud, in faith – it shifts the atmosphere
1 Cor 2:13-14 ESV – “13 And we impart this in words not taught by human wisdom but taught by the Spirit, interpreting spiritual truths to those who are spiritual. 14 The natural person does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are folly to him, and he is not able to understand them because they are spiritually discerned.”
- We are a nation and people of “intellect” – just like the Greeks
- Intellects and the natural man are hindered from spiritual truths and moving in faith
